AZ State Senator- Ahwatukee, Chandler, Tempe; Our survival, and quality of life depend on making decisions based on truth. Science is based on observations and data, not on generalizations. Let’s learn more about it, and use it more rigorously in politics
🇺🇸Democracy is worth fighting for.

Rules allow GOP Pres Petersen to appoint every person who serves on a committee in the AZ Senate.

Denying the Minority Leader’s choices for appointees-
that is legal, and a
Lousy Way to govern.

It is the opposite of custom and practice in the state legislature.

Meanwhile, I literally spent the cost of used crayons and used poster board
To show how the “Diamondbacks debacle” would work.

I walked around, talking with small groups Saturday (among thousands) and
NOBODY wants this deal!

1 woman said “I am a season ticket holder and that tax deal is BAD!”

I visited the Scottsdale Training And Rehabilitation Services, a community center that “Enhances The Lives Of Individuals With Cognitive & Developmental Disabilities By Creating employment, opportunities, skills, and smiles” 😊
DDD programs like this provide a good ROI for all Arizonans.

STOP bills for billionaires! #STOPbillionaireBailouts
SB1096 would make taxpayers pay for a bullion depository for people who have so much gold they don't know what to do with it.

I voted, NO. Every Republican voted yes.
GOP motto: Middle class pays. Zillionaires receive.

Happy Easter. Happy Easter especially to caregivers. It is Easter and I am still working to get the funding you need, the funding you deserve, the funding that produces a positive ROI for our economy.

I was glad to talk with Arizona Democratic Federation of Women last week at the Capitol. They told stories of bringing neighbors together for good causes around tables with pot luck meals.
These events build genuinely caring communities.

Sb1383:
When a parent asks about CPR training the school staff has, and the basic credentials of the school health office, the school would be required to answer.
Thanks to Landon’s parents, Julie & Mark for advocating for it, and to Sen Mesnard for bipartisan collaboration …

Important people- advocates for early childhood, and for human services. Guv Hobbs’ budget has a great proposal for childcare! And we have some good bills to improve reimbursement rates for mental health providers. That will hopefully improve access to mental healthcare for many.

Good news! 😊

This year I was honored with the IMLD Patron Award at the International Mother Language Day festival in Chandler. IMLD honors our ancestors’ languages and cultures, also raising awareness of our right to use our own language.

Great example of why Arizona should consider enacting a law to ban price-gouging around a state of emergency. 👓⬇️

Democrats have a bill to get the conversations going.

Republicans in AZLEG have total control of which bills can be discussed in committees.

Arizonans: speak up for price fairness.

Gov. Hobbs’ press conference today— Thank you to everyone who helped to develop Prop 479 to support public transportation!

Our transit plan must be multi-modal with safe ways for many kinds of vehicles including light rail, buses, scooters, bikes, walkways, and cars, for clean air and less traffic
