Known for ending up at the heart of things without trying. #SPFBO9 semifinalist ☺️ Alpha reader for Mark Lawrence for now a decade & he’s still my favourite 🤷‍♀️
Visited the Golders Hill Pergola in North London today. Stuff of fairytales.

I looked through my photos and found this from 2017, when you still did palm reading at cons.

In Brighton they clearly know how to make a good pancake. The London Fog Matcha is also a new favourite now!

It was such a joy to interview artist Tom Roberts and showcase his breathtaking new cover for Mark Lawrence’s Daughter of Crows. His Library trilogy art was brilliant, but this one raises the bar even higher.

Came home shattered after work, half-dead on the couch. Then I heard distressed meows outside and suddenly I was sprinting down the stairs like I was Usain Bolt.
Not my cat but I wish it was.

A colleague is halfway through my book and enjoying it. She bought a paperback copy as a birthday present for her fantasy-reader friend, and today she brought it into the office for me to dedicate it.

Signing my book at work wasn’t surreal at all. 😅

I mean Vanessa Kirby 💜, Pedro Pascal and the guy who played Eddie Munson in Stranger Things? I would have probably watched this even if it had been just commercials for two hours with them.

I didn’t know we had an estate in Enfield, North London, let alone that it was free to visit. And yes, it was a bit cloudy today. English summer for you. 😆

Two stunning books, one hauntingly beautiful world. J. L. Odom’s second novel hits harder, cuts deeper, and leaves you craving the third. Full review:

A slow-burn masterpiece with the emotional weight of literary fiction wrapped in the grit of military fantasy. J.L. Odom’s debut floored me.

For All Mankind
- the first few episodes? I was curious what the hype was about but not overly impressed
- by the end of the second season I was both addicted and in awe
- having finished all four seasons, NASA owes me therapy. Season 5 now, please
