Two very different statements yet whether you like it or not, one CAN be relevant to the other, but I also think sometimes people go into these games wanting to like them just because they heard X game is hated, and Of course everyone has different tastes and expectations as well

I actually played Soul Hackers 2 for like an hour on release and was so disappointed in what I saw I cut it off, I revisited it this year and hundo'd it and got all achieves left it feelings like "I do like the characters but this game is still a huge disappointment as a follow up to SH"

Everything wrong with Soul Hackers 2 has less to do with how it actually plays and more to do with how the dungeons are extremely boring with very little gimmicks, they decided to bring in P5 momentos for some reason, and it's loosely connected to original Soul hackers.

Sonic 06 is one, Tales of Zestiria is another, Soul Hackers 2 I could name them. It's fine if you don't have an issues with those games though. my issue comes from people like "OH I CAN'T FATHOM WHY PEOPLE WOULD HATE THIS IT"S NOT THAT BAD" not realizing or having any compassion for the context

I probably would have less feelings about it versus if I spent $50~$60 on it

It's interesting to me that these games were so popular because they are insanely hardcore and punishing but I think being able to save anywhere anytime definitely helps. Curious to see how I feel about the reboot trilogy when I get to it.
