text: i’ve been thinking about this for a couple days and i just felt like i should apologize for the lack of art lately when i recall promising to draw more this year…truth is i’ve felt very miserable about making art lately unless it’s being made for someone else…and that’s likely the problem, i feel like i’m wasting time if i sit down and attempt to draw for myself, or i have some kind of fear that it’ll come out really bad and i’ll hate it. so i just end up hating it all. anytime i touch my ipad or look at my sketchbook i just get this pit in my stomach and pain in my chest. i think i’ve been in denial of being in an art block or some kind of hiatus again, and it really sucks because i thought i had gotten my spark back recently with some bursts of drawings here and there, wanting to get back into learning anatomy and stuff and now that spark feels like it is gone again, i feel really bad about it. text: this could probably be medication talking or even just stress because i am on new meds for the endo concerns i’ve mentioned before (on toyhouse), and life feels like it never gets any less busy, i’m exhausted ALL the time but…. idk it just sucks rn (surprise, it always does lol) and i felt like i needed to talk about it and say sorry for being quiet. i’ve never been that good at posting my work to places to be fair. ive been doing quite a few things outside of drawing so that i can avoid thinking about the dread of drawing, and i think im going to keep doing that in the hopes that the motivation comes back. for now tho i just wanted to make everyone aware of what’s been going on. thank you for reading if you got this far i kinda just spilled this out before i try and sleep
