The name Cheetara started to become so popular with parents that by 1987, 29 babies were named Cheetara. Jem and the Holograms & the Misfits got their last names from scientists. Jerrica and Kimber Benton were named after the creators of the rainbow hologram, Stephen Benton. He-Man first started as a toy line in 1981 and Prince Adam wasn’t part of the story. Adam and He-Man’s secret identity wasn’t introduced until 1982. There was almost a fifth turtle named Kirby whose name came from, Jack Kirby, a legendary comic book artist who was the idol of the creators of TMNT.
