I think it's smart; back in the day Dever was a fan cast for Ellie, makes sense here cuz Abby was always a parallel to Ellie in the game

I feel like this show fundamentally failed in terms of how its marketing portrayed it to be.
Since this was coming out right alongside The Batman at the time, they made it out to be this dark/gritty, almost neo-noir show. But instead we got something closer to Indiana Jones

I started replaying this game a couple weeks back and while the opening few hours were pretty much what I feared (lots of cutscenes/interruptions) once it opened up I got back into that flow state of delivering and I *loved it*.
The stuff they added with the DC is pretty cool so far too

Yeah exactly. Stylistically they're cool ig but I remember when I was younger my eyes would roll into the back of my head everyyyy timeeeee 😂

From what I recall though, Unity did it best when they were just flashbacks from the victims pov. Still made little sense *how* but served a better purpose

I love the black, white and red kill screens we get in this game.
I've heard some fans complain about the lack of kill scenes/memories but I think they wouldn't fit in this game/new interpretation of the Animus
