Another film I've been aching to see for over a year, and I prepped for it by watching every Ariane Louis-Seize short film I could find, though I absolutely want to see everything she's ever done.

In July, I wandered through every film I could find from Alice Rohrwacher, and was hoping this would hit streaming then, but it didn't show up for another month or two. I wanted to see this in the theatre, but it never played near here.

A few weeks ago @sapphicfilmnerd.bsky.social sent me a short film by A.V. Rockwell, I added it to my list, then discovered all of her short films were on Vimeo, so I watched everything including "Feathers." This is Rockwell's debut feature.

Kicking off November by finishing the filmography of Anita Rocha da Silveira...I've wanted to see this for a while, but had to check out her short films and "Kill Me Please" first...

Every Halloween I watch these three films no matter what and I'm pretty sure no one else would rate them as high as I do, but I also don't care, because I fucking love them. And yes, it is my favourite horror franchise, so every few years I watch all of them.

Started with the "Dark Fables" anthology because of José Mojica Marins, which turned me on to Rodrigo Aragão, watched two by him, then finished with the first feature from Anita Rocha da Silveira, having already watched all of her short films last week.

Surprisingly, Jennifer Reeder comes in at No. 18 in the my Top 20 Directors that I've watched over the last seven years since I've been keeping track. I've been saving this film like a tasty treat.
