This iteration of the Leafs is finished as a legitimate contender in this league. Ten years of disappointing play-off performances with a revolving door of bottom six plugs and now the cupboards are bare and it will take the next administration another five years to clean house and start over.

Everybody knows that Toronto CAN win this. We even know that Toronto SHOULD win this. The problem is that we only have 57 straight years of futility to draw upon. My question is this: is it even possible to believe that this team will overcome its demons and enjoy some success this year?

Marilyn Gladon't is totally out of touch with the reality of the situation. You don't negotiate with a known narcissistic con man and bully. You certainly don't roll over and capitulate to his demands. Trump claims the US doesn't need Canada. Then why is he hell bent on stealing our sovereignty?

I hope Brad is not stupid enough to waste more than a second round pick on Laughton. Far better options out there if they want to spend significant assets.

Trump tells his people that the USA doesn't need Canada. Let's see if the American public agrees? Canada is in a far better position than the US to care for itself without reliance on American made anything.

Part of me wonders if these tariffs are a response to Elon's Time magazine cover? Trump knows that Tesla stock and demand are both crashing. Hitting Tesla with 25% tariffs while they are down will get Elon out from behind the resolute desk.
