Rough assembly of the mechanism to drive the hour and minute hands is done. Wiring cleanup next. The hands are driven independently by the master controller, which also provides control for the calendar rings.

Impulse. The gravity arms withdraw slightly after impulse. The weight of the gravity arm provide the impulse.

Pendulum control installation. Control design by Jason Iceman. Two Arduino based controls drive independent stepper motors. Escape wheels mounted on the motor shafts rotate to reset gravity arms which provide impulse to the pendulums.

Jason’s custom control system arrived today after being kicked around by USPS for 7 weeks 🤬…We’d given it up as lost so Jason had started another build……of course. Least we have spares.
