like i guess the term bounty hunter evokes some things for some people, but it doesn't for me. i don't see why being a bounty hunter would impede you from being altruistic. but either way, i played metroid for the nes a couple a months ago and this is literally how it describes them

also found this explanation here (ja.hinative.com/questions/24...), regarding "hito to hito to". basically, that construct is used to stress a mutual relationship with the two subjects. so it would mean "people meet each other" while simply "hito to hito" would be "this person meets another person"

i'm not entirely sure of what is the actual subject is (i'd say it's"machi" but idk), but the "ga" here is being used as a direct object marker as explained in the images
