I ruined your whole family and you’re calling me your friend?” Scaramouche’s eyes seemed to be glowing softly in the low light of the cave, and Kazuha found he couldn't look away from them. The intensity of his expression mixed with the delicate beauty of his features made whole lines of poetry spring to life in Kazuha’s mind. There was a moment where Scaramouche’s eyes flicked downwards, and Kazuha wondered if the target of the look had been his lips. “You’re so fucking confusing and it’s insufferable. I should hate you …but I don’t.” The final admission came out quieter than the rest, as if he were hesitant to voice it. How interesting… he felt as if Scaramouche might be an infinite well of fascinating complexities, and he felt driven to investigate each one intimately. “Then we feel the same about each other,” Kazuha said with a smile. Scaramouche froze, and Kazuha watched as his expression changed countless times in just a few seconds. Their faces were incredibly close now, and Kazuha could feel Scaramouche’s breath on his skin.
