My number one wish for 2025?
That Australian media would stop following the lunacy of American media where they try to talk us in a war with China.
It's insanity sold as intelligent commentary.

My cat is quietly pondering how to do away with the wombat that has stolen her seat.

I have no problem with the freeloading bitch deciding that our house is a great place to squat.
But I wish, if she is going to just lay around, that she would put some clothes on😁

I propose that we lose the term 'Influencer' and replace it with LOP.
Easier to say and 'Loud Opinionated Person' fits so much better.
Come on folks, get on board!

It's also a rabbit whose ears lie flat so the image suits.🤗

The last of us as a game followed a plot that made it successful.
The last of us, the series, by eliminating Pascal, in order to follow that line, diminished the success of the series, simply because nobody really gets attached to a character in a video game.

Almond or Oat milk.
To all those folks I may have upset by daring to say that almond or oat juice isn't milk, I apologize most sincerely for my lack of sensitivity.
To everyone else, lessons for milking nuts and seeds can be found at your local bookshop in the fiction aisle.
Have a nice life.😇🤣

Today I had an OJ in Australia with the label ' packed in Australia from imported ingredients' which, given we produce oranges is really poor.
However my beef is also that it doesn't say where they were imported from which is something I would like to know given most foods say product of somewhere.

Peter Dutton has pledged to reduce fuel prices by 40 cents plus a litre for a year if elected.
What he hasn't however explained is where is the money coming from to replace the excise.
Taxes from other sources or do we just pause road works for a year?
Please explain Peter.

Putting aside the insanities of the Trump's and Putin's and all the rest of them who would grind us into the ground just so they can build their own temples, can we at least be of one voice in saying that all we really want is a warm, peaceful, quiet, safe existence without overlords and preachers?

Tasmanian Labor, who should have been demanding full disclosure on Macquarie stadium rolled over and backed the Libs who are just demanding it regardless.
One wonders if it would be different if an election was looming.
All politics and noise without any real accountability.
April 3, 2025 at 6:57 AM
How does this even make sense.
Same product same supermarket, same day except on is a ten pack the other 24
The ten is $4.67 a liter, the 24 $1.99.
That's obscene pricing.
April 3, 2025 at 3:00 AM
The Tas govt is prepared to build a stadium no matter what.
The opposition has a pledge to go along no matter what.
Which sort of makes a mockery of good governance given their job is to ensure Tas voters and not the AfL gets the best outcome.
Something neither can do that without proper scrutiny.

On my lawn tonight I have, feeding, around fifty birds of multiple types from chicken to crow to sparrow all doing so without prejudice, anger, racial or religious hatred, territorial aspirations or need for guns.
And inside the house live the civilized species?

This is LuLu.
Orphan raised by us after her mother was hit by a truck.
She doesn't live with us anymore but every week or so she ambles in through our cat flap, spends the day sleeping and then disappears.
As all kids missing home occasionally do.

It occured to me that if Trump is really the best in the world, greatest ever, most special organizer manager as he claims, why does he need a Musk.
Then I realized every master needs a minion.
And I was happy.😇

There's a round of blame and demands doing the political rounds in Australia regarding the uncertainty over Trump applying tariffs to our mineral imports which seems rather pointless given Trump's self interested propensity for flip flopping at will about anything he does while disregarding others.
March 11, 2025 at 7:16 AM
In Australia at the moment Tucker Carlin is doing a political advertisement for Clive Palmer, an Aussie billionaire, who funds a new party called, wait for it, Trumpet of the patriots.🤣
And Tuckers message seems to be that American Billionaires are stupid.
If you can, watch it.
You'll get a laugh.

In barely a month Trump managed to get Europe offside, sow distrust with Canada and Mexico, threatened to crash trade alliances, all while slashing workers from his own government and snuggling up to Putin, who invaded Ukraine.
So who exactly other than him is going to see America as 'great again'
March 2, 2025 at 9:17 PM
I would like to propose that as a condition of gaining a streaming license that companies have to commit to bringing all series to satisfactory endings before cancelling.
So tired of getting hooked into something only to be left hanging when the ratings slide a little.
March 1, 2025 at 1:21 AM
My cat just learned that Trump will probably be around for years.

A government should never be measured by the size of its workforce but rather the benefit that workforce supplies to taxpayers, them in need, the nation as a whole and the benifits that might be gained from both reductions and increases.
That's called good management.
February 21, 2025 at 8:47 PM
There was a time, rightly or wrongly, America was looked to for leadership.
But that, as it slowly moved from diplomacy to control wained.
Now, today, as the message becomes 'we own you' it sinks to the level of 'person next door we don't want to know'.
A sad state of affairs.
Be better America.

Chances are Australians will choose a government led by Peter Dutton and Dutton will spend the next three years blaming things for getting worse on the previous government and voters will spend the next three years moaning about how nothing has changed and how hard life is.
It's a joke folks!
