Sooo game dev. I got laid off last week from my 9 to 5er, and I thought this would be great to hope into Project Sunder. But man, I dont want to be anywhere my office.

Working on that 2.5D RPG I always wanted to play. #Unreal is excellent for this! I am also looking for pixel artists. If you are interested, DM your prices for sheets. Right now, I am looking for a 30-year-old man with a beard to be the main protagonist

Here is my blue sky pitch for Kiln, a claymation boomer shooter in which the mobs explode into Borderlands loot pieces for your gun that you craft on the fly, similar to Kingdom Hearts Gummi Ship or Mothergunship crafting.
Now to learn Unreal to make this happen. If anyone has a clue, hit me up...

Talking with a friend earlier this week - He said I am better off heading to vegas and putting all money on Red, then being an indie game developer.
I think there is some truth to that. Lot less work to still lose money or maybe you'll double it...

Optimization is a bitch.
I need to fetch all achievements for every game the player owns in order to calculate some of the data I need. That means it got really slow.
After @lostdomain.org set me on this path I started working on getting the response time down.

Never felt so called out before - As a team of 1. I know that my constant need to find the perfect Project Management tool is costing me time, but nothing has been able to replicate the StickyNotes on the wall.... NOT MY FAULT!
I don't think we're ready yet to talk about just how badly game dev teams are ran. AA/A, Indie, Publishing - all of them. The amount of money and energy wasted through bad planning, poor communication and sheer incompetence is staggering.
Games don't need to be this expensive or exhausting to make.

I am thinking that I should build in 2D, then covert to 2.5D. This should allow me to iterate faster and document any issues that I find during this conversion. #IndieDev
