Yeah, they are going to overanalyse that. They’ve had a huge swing to the left in the south (losing to Lab & LD) and a huge swing to the right in the north.
Can’t see anyone but the most right-wing candidate becoming leader though and cozying up to Farage.
That might cause the party to split.

Yeah, Labour only gained about 1.5% nationally over 2019. I think tactical voting helped though - not many more votes, but massive swings in targeted areas. Even more with the LDs.
Reform nicking 12% from the Tories everywhere helped them too.
