They could rejoin the EU, as most people now admit Brexit was a failure. Rejoining would kick-start growth, as it's estimated that leaving the EU cost the UK treasury £40 BILLION a year. But they're afraid of losing voters to Reform (whom they've already lost anyway). In fact they would GAIN voters.

A matter of watch this space, I guess. I don't know about golden bullet, but Burnham has real passion & convictions, which Starmer lacks, and I think he could reinvigorate the party, which is on its way to becoming irrelevant. People voted for real change, which Labour has sorely failed to deliver.
