Hah! Some kind of map of my most used words on this site. Shows me I need to spend less time being angry about GenAI. From anisota.net/harvest - don't even have to log in to get it.

Just now inserting a gif of relevance to my feelings on GenAI, and the auto-generated Alt text committed this heinous monstrosity of a mistake.

No. You AI muppet. That is not a man in a jacket. That is the goddess Sigourney Weaver.

My keyboard in work has a copilot key. It opens "The Gobshite", as I affectionately call it, instantly. Which means when I try to turn it off, or end the relevant processes, nothing is actually turned off. I dislike this intensely.

I've received @marcwilson.co.uk's marvellous new photobook, The Edge of Ruin. Both scarred and recovering landscapes, I'm struck by how he shows human effects without any humans. Really good. Worth buying. #photography #landscapes #buyrealbooks

I like this impression of the river Acheron.

This is not an acceptable situation. A vending machine branded with a Galaxy logo should be selling chocolate in various forms and perhaps some sweets. Every option on this one is Grenade Carb Killa [sic] bars. Yet another strike against working on site. #thisisthebadplace

I actually think it's quite a worrying approach. #AI

Shocking dog snog attack.

Just got a mail advertising a new range of Harry Potter Lamy fountain pens. I guess that's the end of me ever buying another Lamy! Big fat NO to anything linked to JK Rowling.

Saw this marvellous portrait of a distinguished doggy earlier today.

Of course, that marvellous Herzog article had to be read 5 lines at a time, partly due to my eyesight needing a higher font, and partly due to the screen real estate being overwhelmed with nefarious ads.

Geldof and Fianna Fail? I'm shocked. Shocked! Well, not that shocked.

I've been using this Asvine V200 fountain pen from Amazon for the last two months. It has held up very well. The EF nib hasn't clogged up with Diamine Oxblood like the Lamy EF did. It's got more flow than a Kaweco EF too. I like it a lot, suits my writing size. Would happily get this brand again.

This book is really good, especially if you're a fellow migraineur. Tom Zeller Jr., "The Headache: The Science of a Most Confounding Affliction — and a Search for Relief".

Ok, hear me out. A Lord of the Rings remake, but with these two taking the One Ring to Mordor:

If anyone's curious about the future, I'm starting to feel more and more like this is a genuine possibility.

This is a beautiful photography book, "Silver Haikus", by Michael Kenna. Highly recommended.
