Now my in-box is stuffed by txt messages from ActBlue soliciting funds. Not occasionally, more like EVERY day, dozens of them even after extensive blocking. Most for races i know nothing about as they are not my region nor National interest directly.

Special equipment HAS purpose, it's just they are being overused by officers who do not need them. Discrete body armor excepted, everything else should be restricted to use when tactics require it only.

You're right and the fight for just treatment is ongoing but to say that there was no overreach, always vindicated, no excuses, never went too far? That's the way MAGA justifies their actions.

They entire DHS department needs to be dismantled and necessary duties (ONLY) re-distributed to Agencies not yet corrupted by MAGA/GOP Trumpism.

The Party is collective entity of members at all levels. It's current leadership is not "The Party", it's part of it, & to an extent disconnected some from it's members & it resembles a white gerontocracy more than it's member demographics suggest.
A new, younger generaton of Leaders is the answer.

His leadership style has been questionable, this only adds fuel to that notion. He has 16% of his caucus that did not follow. Angus King is an Independent.

..National Guard units of States with Internation land border can be mobilized for land border security and the Coast Guard for sea borders.. Non-border States will not participate UNLESS requested by border State Govenors. All new hires get extensive security checks & get re-trained.

Mamdani does not have Cuomo's experience, he is a decent man. MANY of us are against actions of the Israeli gov't & IDF in Gaza who are commiting War crimes & genocide. this is NOT anti-semetic. Even in Israel, close to a majority agree:
