I just finished Everything is Tuberculosis by @johngreensbluesky.bsky.social - I was expecting some science and facts and history. What I got was all that...plus in depth human storytelling, despair, hope and more. Read it and then understand how the current regime is trying to make TB great again.

Why is it called "coming out" when it could be called "making things crystal queer"
Finished @maryrobinettekowal.com's The Martian Contingency today. Once again, had me laughing and crying and nodding and swearing. I'm still certain she writes these books just for me. I'm not even the "Bad Jew" that Nathaniel is, her Hebrew on the audiobook sounds wrong. Southern accent I guess.

Re-reading @maryrobinettekowal.com's brilliant Lady Astronaut series in preparation for the release of The Martian Contingency. In a cycle of tears, laughter, joy, and admiration because for whatever reason (RL these days?) it's hitting harder this time. PS - I think she wrote them just for me.
