It’s #mermay and I drew a mermaid at the end of the world.

I decided to channel the anger and resentment I feel about it into this project for the last four months. See you guys in a year when I finish another drawing :P

A mermaid plays an acoustic guitar at a flooded country club. After we’re gone, there won’t be anyone to mark our passage. This could be our future if we don’t act now. The pool has overflowed, the deck chairs submerged, and the sky is eternally hazy. Rolling Stone’s final issue was left here for the mermaid to peruse. Its title page reads “Final issue! The top songs for eminent climate collapse!” It’s sad, but it isn’t too late to do something about it.
