Emancipated serf

Potter turned Londoner - weary of watching humanity endanger itself - tired of ordinary folks cheering on oligarchs who despise & impoverish them.
I understand why disenchanted voters angry at their lives take it out on the establishment by voting Reform and hitherto Brexit, but this is like shitting your own bed as a protest

performative cruelty, red meat for the maga base. Where are the voices of Christian leaders who backed Trump. Unsurprisingly the hypocrites stay stumm. Christian my ass. Inhumane, evil, grifters.

Men playing soldiers - nauseating and truly pathetic. Andrew Tate fanboys compensating with guns.

Fascism.101 - demonise intellectuals, chill academic freedoms.

The AI industry meaning a handful of billionaires, investors and mega tech corporations at the expense of workers and copyright owners. Maybe it's not in the wider interest

Spot on. Re-election obsession, achieved by unprincipled if not cynical triangulation, crowds out vision and only reinforces the Reform uniparty narrative

Good point. His political benefit filter has been misfiring for some time. His only goal appears to be a second term, achieved at all costs.
May 23, 2025 at 10:26 PM
The other benefit is we desperately need people to have more children!

The majority want visionary leadership and radical change rooted in values NOT McSweeney's focus group led triangulation. The party is hamstrung, still carrying that Ming vase with a hand behind the back.

He's a campaigner and imo that is a very different beast to a political strategist. I'd love to see the receipts of the paper trail that led to the Winter Fuel decision.

the land of the not so free. Dictator dictating.

Fascists always suppress academia and intellectuals. It's 101

The CIC have created a second event space so 96 over 2 sites in 1 park are the relevant numbers Dorian 😊
May 19, 2025 at 12:15 PM
Gunnersbury schedule includes SOHO house festival - literally a VIP event in a public park, & the park has been licensed to a CIC by the council who they then allow to exploit the park. Conflict of interest & undemocratic imho.

It's out of control at Gunnersbury park. 96 event days over summer including out and out raves & a Drum n Bass event. It's about scale and numbers. They claim 600k ploughed back in but that goes into restoring heritage buildings - the park is damaged irreversibly in the process.

Sad middle aged white men of limited intelligence playing at soldiers. A recurrent theme throughout the history of authoritarian regimes.

My local park in W London is wonderful - until it effectively becomes a music concert venue for 3 months over the Summer - justified because it raises money. Privatisation of green spaces is a big issue here. Parks are so important for wellbeing.

A point not made at all by a single remain campaigner at the time. Our leaders have no strategic nouse whatsoever. As for the morons who promoted global Britain do they still.thin the East India Company exists?

Only as it pertains to the equalities act Such shoddy reporting on this decision. Just backing up the aspirational aims of those who funded the action. It's far less consequential than implied.
