Been out since 2017 but I wonder if I'd run into issues w parents during teaching Holocaust lit/WWII history today. I taught Night, I Never Saw Another Butterfly, and The Diary of Anne Frank over the course of 15 yrs. Didn't have any issues back then. Kids enjoyed the experiences-& the museum trip.

Don't forget to blend in the cross curricular stuff! Plague affecting theater-going, social class makeup in the audience (location, etc.), printing of his works, etc.

Well, that teacher may try empowering those kids to keep their line and model some enthusiasm for learning some cool STEM stuff. Enthusiasm goes a long way--and hands-on can help kids focus.
