Like with Cavaliers in 8, I always strictly have them using spears unless I gotta switch during a specific encounter. In 7, it felt like mostly everyone was a bit more "flexible" for lack of a better word. Everyone just feels more squishier in 8 overall I feel with a handful of outliers (ROSSNATION)

Swords on the other hand, outside of Seth & Josh, yeah I can kinda see how much worse they are cause of the how phases are in Stones in comparison to past games and even Awakening (which is a different can of worms entirely). Heck, I didn't even realize Joshua had better health in 8! [Cont.]

Yeah that's true, especially when it comes down to weapon accuracy and swords in general. Like I'd have to play much MORE carefully in FE8 because suddenly Johnny Bandit-Man just sniped Erika with an accuracy of 30 with a [Hand Axe] and now I have to restart the whole chapter! [Cont.]

Suddenly reminded of that one map on Ephraim's(?) route where you recruit Amelia, and your only viable units are Seth, Forde and MAYBE Garcia & Joshua if you built them decently enough up to that point.

At least from what I recall, it's been awhile since I've gotten that far in FE8.

I don't agree with the idea of characters being reworked 4 years into a game's life though. That shit is just dumb, but it's not an Arc Sys patch if it wasn't filled with questionable balance decisions. No matter how late into a game's life.
