The way alleged murderers get compassionate backstories while women are scrutinised for just existing… says it all really.

Any Netsafe members on BlueSky? I’ve put myself forward for one of two available positions on the Board. I care deeply about protection against online harm and want to use my experience to strengthen the HDCA and tools to help others feel safe. HMU if you want to chat further.

I can’t believe I even have to say this but…

I felt it was important to support a local, emerging artist. Clark Roworth is exceptionally talented, and will now have his place in Wellington’s history. As an arts capital, I’d advocate for any opportunity to use our talented arts community. 🧵

The absolute gall of the man. There are a number of genuinely good people who missed out on being a councillor (myself included), whereas this absolute buffon throws it in our faces with comments like this. Unbelievable.

Surreal but genuinely lovely to welcome our new Mayor and Council at today’s inauguration. Handing over the chains to @andrewlittlenz.bsky.social felt like closing a very meaningful chapter, one I’ll always carry with me. I truly wish the team the best as they take the reins of our beautiful city.

Joined Whakaata Māori to talk election turnout and while I’m proud Wellington had one of the highest at 49%, it’s still low AF. Let’s ditch private election companies. Accidentally excluding Māori Ward candidate bios is beyond unacceptable & don’t get me started on postal ballots. 1/2

Man, these “critics” are laughable.

Me: I deliver a $12B plan, then step aside to empower others to lead.

Them: CRY BABY! VICTIM! DOWNFALL!

Babe, you wish. I’ll be back stronger and unstoppable. Meanwhile, you’re over there hiding behind a half-baked blog, looking like the troglodyte you are.

Great to see The Post finally celebrating Wellington’s progress. It’s amazing what a difference a week makes! 😂

This is what happens when you don’t lead on ZB’s terms. Amazing how fragile some talkback hosts get when a woman does well. So emotional!

Just got sent this from an article by Bryce Edwards. This is completely false, and he never once fact-checked it with me. My campaign was run by me and my small volunteer team. Comments like this reflect a tired mindset that assumes women can’t succeed in politics without a man pulling the strings.

If you’d like to hear my final council speech (with some sass), feel free to come to council tomorrow morning. DM for more details.

What a hugely disappointing response from the Mayor. He labels candidates as sensitive and saying abuse comes with the territory. This attitude is why things won’t change. Poor leadership.

Tonight me and my whānau got to see the official mayoral portrait done by Pōneke artist, Clark Roworth. This felt like a lovely end to this chapter with my mana intact and we will leave behind a progressive long term plan for the next council. I’m proud of of us 💚
