Obviously, I was very upset about the veterinarian situation yesterday. I just decided I couldn't take a loved one back to that situation, thereby possibly (ironically) traumatizing her. Cancelled both the scheduled blood test and the dental work appointment today and we're off to find a new vet.

Interesting, potentially useful word I ran across while reading Poe this morning: rhodomontades. As in "uttering the most extravagant rhodomontades."

Our witness today had a support animal -- 11 yo Rocky, who flitted about the deposition room hoping for scritches from all. It made the day so much more pleasant, and everyone got to talk about their own dog. The office should really think about keeping one on hand that we can use when desired!
