+ yes, Peter Robinson as FM did attend the inauguration of Michael D Higgins in 2011, which was also on the 11th Nov - the point of this post is not whether the DUP should or should not have attended, but rather, implying someone, anyone could have gone regardless of the date is not the best pov

Will every single DUP MLA have attended a local event connected to Remembrance? No. But many, I suspect, would have, even for a short period of time.

Many people here will have had relatives who served in WW1, and. WW2. Many families will have had relatives who died in service. Local events recognise this, and local pol reps will recognise this too.

I live in a constituency which historically has been unionist-dominated, and near other similar constituencies. There are a variety of remembrance services and events each year; local unionist pol reps are invited and attend each year.
