Like the name says, I'm that old creative guy - i like learning new ways to express myself - painting (oil, watercolour, acrylic), sculpting, 3D modelling, drawing, interpretive n*de dances (not really, I'm not that unkind), plus I enjoy cats.
Soooo...with FB changing their terms to allow people to refer to members of the LGBTQ+ community as mentally disabled, I wonder how many people will ditch their FB accounts and move here? I know I'm going to be.

I didn't think I'd be getting fairly explicit content here. Not a fan. I would just like one social media experience to be a little more SFW. Don't get me wrong - I love p*rn, just not here. Looks like i'll have to figure out the filters better.

One of my favourite artists, he was best known for his illustrations for the Arrow Collar Man ads back in the mid 20-century, and was as prolific and as well known as Norman Rockwell, just a completely different "tone". Joseph Christian Leyendecker, 1874-1951. And yes, he was gay.

oh, and these were my last two cats - Simon (left) and Sophie (right). Simon passed away from complications due to diabetes at the age of 10, and Sophie passed away fairly suddenly at the age of 16 from fatty liver disease. I'm still not ready for another cat, and Sophie died two years ago.

one more - this is another piece I've sold (also around 7 years ago) - #peaches in a #basket done in #oilpaint . A colleague where I was working at the time bought it off me. I have sold about 10 things in my life, so every sale is a big deal to me. Maybe i'll do more in 2025.

#raspberries on #birchpanel done in #oilpaint - about 8 years ago, it was the first thing I sold after taking up #oilpainting - my favourite part is not the fruit, but the "basket" it's in.

It's so much easier to be nice than nasty. Even if a person is awful to you, responding in kind will not change them, it will just fuel their negative energy and everyone ends up feeling like crap. Respond with *genuine* kindness , leave them holding their own anger, it always feels better.
