ADLC pupils really enjoyed their visit from Falkirk Fire Brigade this afternoon. We were interested to find out lots of information about their job, safety kit they wear, use & looking at equipment on the fire engine. We all loved getting to sit in the fire engine too of course! 🚒

APS pupils were interested to listen to Gary Campbell, a local author & illustrator who visited us today to tell us about his previous career and his inspiration for writing and drawing. We really had fun creating our own comics as part of this workshop. Thank you from all @ APS.

This DPS learner enjoyed exploring the 'words within words' spelling strategy last week and how this can help us spell much trickier words. We were so surprised at how many words are inside 'sweater'. We also discussed compound words.

P1 - 4 have been working hard on their money skills this week - we can recognise different coins and notes, set up our own shop and use different coin and note combinations to pay for items.

P1-4 worked on building a Class Charter this term in line with UNCRC. 6 focus articles worked on pertinent to the class. Pupils worked in groups thinking about what these rights mean for them - Rights Holders. Miss Stewart considered what these rights mean for adults in school - Duty Bearers.
