How is giving someone the right to use the bathroom they feel safest in more dangerous than giving someone gun without a background check?

"You can't be a Christian if..." is something I heard too often from fundamentalist. It isn't something I'm used to hearing in progressive circles. Friends, there are better ways.

Or do we not do "love your neighbor" and "do no harm, do all the good you can" anymore?

You can’t claim all matter while ignoring the one on the edge. Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.

We will never change the story if we keep rewriting our own.

How can we expect change when we make excuses or smooth over injustices rather than facing them and dealing with them?

Many areas hit by harsh storms & tornadoes recently. People lost everything-jobs, homes, possessions. Some blame them for not following protocols on how to weather these storms (insurance, document security). There's an undercurrent of blame from some. These are kind, considerate, hardworking people

Exposure to other religions, concepts, ideas, or cultures does not & has never prevented freedom of religion. Cults resist exposure to these because they can only keep people if they keep them uninformed & afraid of others. That's not freedom of religion. It's mind control.

When a ship is sinking there are two types of people, the "every man for himself!" and the "women and children first" people. We've had a long run of "every man for himself" in America. And I don't mean gender. I mean the individuality, the "look out for #1" run. I have to wonder... (cont)

My tires may be nearly bald but 68.2 MPG is hard to beat.

(It's the perfect temperature and not too windy. The car is rated for 60 mpg, but I have gotten 70 a couple times.)

Petty FB. They just deleted a post on RAIN!
I tore the old sidewalk out & installed pavers because water was collecting at the foundation. Tonight a leaf dam flooded it again. All of this was under 1-2", & an inch or so was standing against the house. Draining now!

Covering a mirror doesn't change the image it would reflect. It only prevents us from seeing it's truths.

Banning books and deleting art and history we disagree is a whole lot like covering the mirror.

Taking a break and waiting to hear feedback on the first form I've ever provided to a developer from scratch. With ideas I never thought would be considered a few weeks ago. Excited!
