But also, who says stuff like this? Like, if you have to campaign for recognition how does it even mean anything?! (I say this obviously realizing the Noble Prize commission has no intention of being swayed, I'm just pointing out the ridiculousness of even trying.)

I thought those things were *already* illegal, but he just has them do it anyway. How would this stop him?! (Not saying they shouldn't try, just that they should be prepared with more than just "the law says so.")

Can we at least agree that this is not normal? A reasonable leader of people does not say things like this. It’s so beneath the office, and yet so typical of this completely unserious person.

I'd frame it differently. Of course I'm disappointed & wish all Dems would've held. But at least they tried. It's the Republicans who from the start, actively advocated & voted for these devasting consequences. Let's put the blame squarely on those who *want* healthcare cuts & fought to impose them.
