So I tried a technique for making canvas looking fabric.
I let a couple of sheets of cleaning wipes dry out, then coated them with modpodge mixed with green acrylic paint. I folded it like a rolled up tarp while it was still wet and added strings to the ends to simulate ties.

I started on my TOC (Tactical Operations Center) diorama. The table is made of balsa. I will paint it, probably white, and print some appropriately sized maps and documents to populate the surface.
It's passable for my 1st attempt at 1/12th scale furniture.

I painted a few color schemes until I settled on one. The benefits of creating your own merc unit is that they don't have to match from jump. Call it BYOM.

Using a citrus based paint stripper I removed the old paint. There are a couple of tiny spots in the folds on the inside of the body that I couldn't get. But they won't be visible when I paint it.
