Amazing! I’m in Y2/3 this year and thinking of doing it at some point but wondering which of our topics is best to link it with.

Lovely! I haven’t done Beegu in a few years but it’s a great one so may need to revisit 👀 Which year group are you using it with? 😊

Amazing! I’ve just enquired about a membership and didn’t realise it was yourself and @sarahfarrellks2.bsky.social running it. Will definitely be signing up! #EduSky #PrimaryMaths

We’ve used ‘talk detectives’ as part of our training on Voice21 techniques. Happy to answer any Qs! When doing partner talk, children would be in 3s instead, with a detective and they might listen for particular sentence stems; key vocabulary; sometimes looking for ‘listening’ body language!

Some of my favourites from the last few years! (2) Some probably better for year groups lower down the school but some would be appropriate! #PrimaryEduSky #EduSky

I’d love to be added to this! Currently a Primary School teacher in Wales and DCF/Digital lead 😊

Yes exactly! There’s lots of mindfulness resources available on the platform too - videos, meditations etc! Really useful.

Yes, the learners can’t see everyone else’s responses - only their own. There is the option of putting up the responses on the whiteboard like this - but you can choose to have names on or off. I usually don’t have it on the board but if I do, I always have mine off for anonymity like you said! 😊

Here’s the rough guidelines for ages to match the progression steps so you can see which skills are taught when! #PrimaryComputing
August 18, 2024 at 7:04 AM
Absolutely! Here’s a link hwb.gov.wales/curriculum-f... I’ll also add the approximate ages of the progression steps as our curriculum isn’t separated by year group but by ‘stages’ (very much ‘stage not age’ focused) so this gives a rough idea in terms of age-related expectations #PrimaryComputing

I don’t use this now, but similarly I have just started using Microsoft Reflect… Since my school give all the children Microsoft accounts, they can log in via a link on Google Classroom and ‘check in’ really easily once they’ve been taught the process & the vocabulary. I like it so far! #EduSky

Interestingly, now I’m teaching in Wales, there’s a bit more of a shift to this! We have the DCF (Digital Competency Framework) which is a mandatory cross-curricular skill framework that should be incorporated by everybody, across all areas of learning! #primarycomputing #EduSky

Wow, that sounds really useful! Would you be able to share those with me please?
August 17, 2024 at 7:25 AM
Amazing! Thanks for sharing. I’m in Y2/3 this year but do you mind if I share with my KS2 colleagues? 😊
