Last week our barn got struck by lightening. It traveled through the poor tulip poplar to our basement and through our washing machine...guess who was taking wet clothes out and got zapped? Funny thing...it fried the dishwasher, the washing machine was saved

Little native tree frog sunning on the porch rail! Says they are threatened on the seek app. We seem to always have one somewhere near our house though

3rd cicada I've seen today. The seek app says its a Pharoah cicada and one that comes out every 17 years. Not sure if is truly a Pharoah cicada, but it IS a cicada

I love that it was comfortable enough to eat around me.

I scared this one off a dead dear in rural south East Indiana. I remember the first time I ever saw one I was a kid and it was a big deal. I love that they are so "common now"

This is the smallest turtle I have ever found in real life. Last weekend at the camp out! Safely put into the woods away from feet and the fire ring 💜
