We started our new novel this week - Charlie And The Great Glass Elevator. The children were working on their visualisation skills, illustrating what the Glass Elevator looks like from in the information we read in chapter 1.📘

Last week we spent time making our own pulley systems and trying them out.👷‍♀️👷‍♂️

Yesterday the children were testing out a class pulley system and what items it could pull up. We used our estimation skills to discuss which items would work and which ones would be too heavy before testing it out.📘⏰

In Maths we have been learning about rounding and estimation. The children have started also noticing where we can do estimation in different contexts.🤩

We are doing a STEM project next week, if you have any clean bottle lids please can you send them in with your child by Thursday. Thank you.😊

Today we worked on our prediction skills. The children had to predict what would happen when we mixed bicarbonate soda and cola/diet cola. We then tested it out to see the results.👩‍🔬👨‍🔬
