Ambessa and Jayce seeing their lovers as luminous 🥺🥰

They both felt survivor's guilt. Jayce's sanity is so shaky, he thinks Mel intentionally let all those people die.
Mel leads with compassion & is trying to be different from her mom, but is now seeing the one person who understood her think she's capable of something heinous.

He complained that Mel saw him as an investment when he begged her to invest in him. He said she used him, but he benefited from her influence & resources. He questions why Mel would only save him and not all of them, even though he knows that Mel wouldn't let people intentionally die if she could.

Mel & MelJay haters, esp that side of the fandom, constantly use the scene where Jayce and Mel argue as a gotcha to Mel or as a way to shit on her relationship with him when that scene was very of Jayce's mental health decline.
