Can any other Scottish primary teachers illuminate me on violence in their schools? I trained in England & moved back to Scotland last yr to a scl with lots of violence towards adults. Thought I was unlucky with the scl but now doing supply & seeing it again. Someone please reassure me it's unusual🙏

Did my first day of supply today and it was so lovely! After a year in a really tricky school, I might have given up on teaching altogether if today had been bad. It has given me hope that maybe I might have a future in teaching

First September in 6 years that I won't be going into the classroom. It feels very strange but excited to start a Masters in Education alongside some supply work around my timetable #edusky

I refuse to read the ed sec in The Sun 🙄 but this piece explains what she said. There's no way primary schools can help them fulfill the 2025 offer because that's for babies of 9 months old plus. #EYFS www.eyalliance.org.uk/news/2024/08...

I’ll miss this unique stage of a social media platform’s development where we welcome new arrivals as if we’re a 9 year old child talking to another 9 year old child on their first day at school after having just moved to the area. "Now, this is where the toilet is. And that is where you do a wee."

I don’t want to go back to the bad place so if you’re part of the edu-exodus & looking for people to follow, I’m going to start a little thread of some familiar faces from edutwitter already posting here.

Please tag people to this thread as I know it’s tricky to get started when you first join.👇🏼
