yesss! they're all so underrated. i hope they can give the satellaview entry the remake treatment someday -- it sucks that there's a full on sequel that was essentially only broadcast via radio thrice 20 years ago.

Same with Hickman, tbh. I get he's got Imperial and USM to worry about, but surely Marvel would want to put their most revered writer (who wrote one of the best comic crossover books last year) on such a visible issue. Maybe he was turned off by the page limits?

Mhmm. Some later characters try to remedy this a bit like Robin leaning into tactics and magic or Byleth showing off the weapons triangle. But you're missing so many interesting classes and mechanics by sticking to the lords. Give us a mount user or an armor knight or an archer or even a dancer.

Until I can ride a pegasus while fighting Captain Olimar and the Wii Fit Trainer, Fire Emblem's representation will always be incomplete.

Asking anyone to become a Castlevania fan is like asking them to tie their hopes and dreams to a rock sinking in the ocean. BUT as a Metroid fan, I think you would get a kick out of Symphony of the Night, the GBA games and the DS Games. The older games can be fun but they're more platform heavy.

Seconding the Demon Bear Saga and Headmaster Magneto arcs. Love them both. As a warning though, the series becomes a bit of a mixed bag once Louise Simonson takes over with issue 55. You get some important arcs like Inferno and everything with Cypher, but it's couched between some absolute nonsense.

You get hints towards deeper layers during Claremont's New Mutants run, but most of her development is under future writers' pens. Lobdell makes big changes during his runs on Uncanny X-Men and Generation X, and imo, Morrison and Whedon are the ones to set her girlbossiness in stone.

Haven't read that run, but I've heard it's good! I like the CotU because they're basically what would happen if people from TIME's Most Influential list quit their jobs & started having Fantastic 4 adventures together. The original run hasn't aged perfectly, but there's a lot of good Kirby action.

They actually were planning on charging like 20 dollars for Wii Sports, but Nintendo of America fought back hard and got them to make it a pack-in title. So really, this is just them going back to their roots.

yeah not a part of the punch out fandom but they are kind of spitting. his turtleneck look from punch out wii especially hits that balance between like toned and sensitive. it's hot!

no fair! it can be hard to pick up something your favorite works are iterating on (the doom patrol did come before the x-men but morrison's doom patrol was very much in response to claremont). still, i think x-men is best at balancing large scale political commentary and slowburn character drama

The only other three I can think of are rogue-likes, soulsbournes, and the -vania part of Metroidvania being from Castlevania. Either way, it's a super exclusive club.
