Unfortunately, there's no meaningful left-wing in the United States. There are people who happen to be more left and Democrat, but overall the Dems are liberal/center-right and have no problem working with fascists (as liberals historically are the midwives for fascism)

Also NYT: "Can Trump legally become dictator for life? Depends on who you ask."

Eradication isn't even possible. As long as people live, transness and queerness will express itself in the spectrum of our collective humanity. It's nothing that can "solved" or "fixed", because it isn't a problem.

I'm sick of everyone taking swipes at my girl, Bari. Larry Ellison and other billionaires thinks she's cool! You just don't get it, man!

Things are great. Please do not ask me to cite any statistics or even ask me to name concrete examples of how I know things are so great.

What? White supremacy hurts white people, too? It's as if it's some sort of scam perpetrated by the powerful to pacify a majority of the country and keep them from unifying with other people in to take on the ruling class... or something.

This reminds me of when Marc Andressen said AI will replace "almost" every job except his, because being a venture capitalist was just far too complex for AI to ever replicate.

Balderdash. Everyone knows it's America's sovereign right to extract the wealth of other nations for vaguely racist reasons.

Seems like putting the 2 largest charisma voids in the same room wasn't the ratings blockbuster they anticipated.

I honestly don't think it's always from a malicious place. We have dumb ape brains, and when something abnormal happens we often wrap it in weird superstitions. Perhaps, specific reactions are culturally informed, but I think for a lot of people it is just a reflexive coping mechanism.

I love Matt Yglesias. He is so smart!

You can't fault Trump for his optimism, here. Ever since his first term, he has consistently broken the law and precedent without consequence. Too many liberals just placed blind trust in institutions without accepting how badly eroded or captured they actually are.

What's amazing is Tim Pool (allegedly) works in news media. He should have known how easily this could be researched, especially when it comes something that involves public funding like the police.

His only way out now is saying "I never call the police, so they wouldn't have an incident report."

Yes, but it might someday, maybe, be accurate so let's just keep throwing as much resources at it as possible, and enrich the most undeserving amongst us until that day comes, if it does.

They have completely different names. How can they be the same?

I still write in cursive. Though, I don't have many excuses to write on paper that often these days.

Excellent penmanship. No notes.

The more I read about AI, the more it seems like a scam designed to bolster fossil fuel dependence; almost as if it is a handout to energy interests to increase consumption... or something.
December 9, 2025 at 6:07 PM
We like to pretend that Big Tech CEOs are some wholly separate class of executive when, in fact, they are all interchangeable. If he were the CEO of Nabisco, he would bring the same energy. It's not these people's job to understand what their company does or can do. Their job is selling bullshit.

It's weird that the perpetrator demanded not only the cash, but satisfaction as well.
December 9, 2025 at 5:42 PM
It's the inertia of finance bro brainrot. It doesn't have to solve anything now. It just has to promise that one day, it might solve "something". The promise is what is valued and traded, not the actual present-day output.

Finally someone speaks the truth on this blasted app.

The conservative project to abolish the 14th Amendment has always been about stripping Non-White, non-landowning men of citizenship.

"Ilegal" immigration was just the wedge to open this door. Even now, we are seeing Trump consistently attack legal immigration. Soon, it will be race, then "lineage"
