I'm going to be honest guys, if this was really that annoying to Alastor the guy who Kills People For Being Rude and there was literally nothing else going on I don't think these guys would be having a seventy year long rivalry I think Vox would be Fucking Dead.

You can't tell me that Exhibit B is somehow more egregious or worse than Exhibit A - *especially* in terms of how easily the other person could tell whether the touch was unwelcome without that being verbalized.

Alastor was a serial killer whose main targets were people who were rude to him, has been set up as a major villain in Season 3, and just recently learned that Lucifer literally can't do anything to sinners. He is going to do *war crimes* to that little man.

Was initially surprised by Vox's demon form design, but then it struck me how it's pretty clever given that 1) this isn't really his body - he is somehow neither anything below the neck, nor the tv itself, and 2) representationally, he is a literal VIRUS #hazbinspoilers

And of course there's the deer in the room: both of them are, to an extent, Alastor projects. Before he shot down the partners proposal, Alastor was onboard with being followed around by Vincent and even had a degree of respect for him - perhaps even seeing "potential" in him, hm?

Circling back, both of them are trying to position themselves as Lilith's successors. Charlie Morningstar, trying to use her voice to advocate for sinners, versus Vox, turning himself into the figurehead of a "Resistance" that frequently invokes Lilith's name.

The problem of course is that these grand ambitions and this constant need to feel validated have some severe negative effects on their relationships, as they take advantage of goodwill and strong arm people into making decisions that they're very clearly not comfortable with.

Charlie's desire to prove that redemption is possible is an extension of her trying to step into her mother's shoes as someone who champions sinners. Meanwhile Vox will go out of his way to try and prove himself to Alastor when doing so is really more of an obstacle to his plan than anything else.

In fact, with the way they present their grandiose schemes with crayon drawings, you could even call their dreams childish.
