Today we had another go at Maths Through Stories. We listened to the story “How Many Legs?” and had to count up all the legs of the animals at the party! We used our knowledge of addition, tally marks and our animal legs facts 🤪🧠🧐➕

We have been discussing our emotions and what happens to our bodies when we get angry. We call this “The Fizz”. We shook a bottle of juice to show what could happen if the fizz in our bodies rise and we don’t deal with our emotions 🥤💥‼️

For Anti-Bullying Week, P4/3 discussed what bullying is, why it happens and what we can do to stand up against it. As a class we created and signed a pledge against bullying. We each then created our own pair of odd socks, highlighting our differences and vowing to celebrate our uniqueness! 🫡👩🎨🧦✅

Today we played common words bingo!
Today, for our topic of Ancient Egypt, we mummified tomatoes! We treated them just like real mummies by washing them, drying them, scooping out the “guts” and finally stuffing and covering them with natron (salt). We are going to leave them for a week and will check if our predictions were correct🍅

Today we read “The Doorbell Rang”. In the story there were 12 cookies but more and more people kept joining the table. We worked in groups to figure out how many cookies each person would get if we shared them equally. We had so much fun doing maths this way! 🍪🔢 #MathsThroughStories

As Remembrance Day is tomorrow, we have been learning all about the different colours of poppies and their meanings. We then made our very own abstract poppies using oil pastels!
