My cat did this in the middle of the night, but I didn’t have my contacts in so I didn’t realize what it was. He dropped it, I picked it up, realized it was a mouse, screamed, and threw it at the wall. I ran to get a jar and it was so dazed I was able to scoop him up and release him outside.
