Ok here’s one: If I need a break (😴) during the day but can’t make it back to my hotel, I walk to one of the conference hotels right by the CC and hang out on the lobby couches. They’re far more comfy than the hard-backed chairs (or lack of chairs) at the CC usually.

The other day also in NYC I walked by a predominantly Latino-serving Catholic parish where parishioners were just chilling in the sanctuary for an hour after daily mass. Even tho the church itself gives off conservative Catholic vibes, it just felt communal & I liked it/wanted to chill with them

Very true. I tried to pray in here but just couldn’t bc I’m still mad that they charged me an entrance fee. Also it feels gorgeous but artificially sterile in here
