Trump/Musk are removing people they deem as opponents or obstacles. The Office of Special Council is, in part, there to keep the President honest. This should immediately spark intense concern for each of us.

Sugar, one of my favorite buddies at MaxFund (dog shelter where I work), went home today!! It’s always such a joyful thing to send them off to their new life with their adoptive family! Have the best life, babe!!!

Glad that people are speaking up! Our federal workers do a great job, so good that we —the average citizens— are oblivious to their hard work because things run smoothly. Without them, the systems that we take for granted will fall apart, and we will all suffer.

I just looked up my parents’ house on Zillow to see its estimated value (out of curiosity) and the generic photo attached to the listing includes my dad in the driveway!! Made me smile really big 😃

Just stopped into Safeway on my way home from an outing to grab a couple items real quickly and noticed two things: virtually everyone in the store with me at 8:30 on a Tuesday was also a millennial, and the music on the speakers was Incubus (my favorite band) circa 1999. #isthismiddleage

Federal ICE and DEA agents raided the apartment complex in Aurora that is allegedly home to Tren de Aragua, a Venezuelan gang. There have been arrests but I haven’t seen data of how many.

When things feel uncertain or out of my control, I just look at my babes (cat and dog) and remember that I have the ability to love them fiercely and wholly, and it makes me feel better!
