And yet your ‘functioning alcoholics’ who are drinking just as much as the drinkers in town on a daily basis, but not exhibiting the same behaviour, seem very aware of their need to behave in a way that doesn’t draw attention to themselves & how much they are drinking

Slightly different sunset where I am, but still just as pretty 😊🇫🇷

They are keeping me in a job, but admittedly they are pains in the backside.

We went Delamere the other week & the dog loved it. Only thing is it will be like a mud bath now with all that rain this week.

Will ask my dad when I see him tomorrow
November 15, 2025 at 9:17 PM
I’ll certainly mention him to my dad, and I’m sure they’ll have worked alongside each other at some point or other.
My dad was a shop steward towards the end of his time there so he there were some mixed opinions of him shall we say 😂

My dad worked at Jakka! From 1981 to when they moved to Bromborough (2005ish). We used to go the Christmas parties for the workers kids in the social club in the 80’s. Great times 😊

The Priory & Hamilton Square are my favourite places on The Wirral 😊 especially in the spring when the daffodils are coming out x

Walk in a very muddy Delamere Forest with a black & white border collie (who now needs a bath) - not my finest idea since my jeans/coat/jumper have had to go in the wash to remove her muddy paw prints off them 🤦🏻‍♀️

Totally agree! Have had similar conversations with my mum and dad

Social media is a great tool for finding out that people you once thought of as ‘really nice’ are in fact complete morons who are far too quick to share their ill judge views on others sadly ☹️
Still, makes it easier to block them 👋🏻

It’s been like bloody Beirut in Birkenhead. Told the other half to bring our dog to me in rock ferry as it’s least it’s quiet here, but she’s shaking so much she won’t leave the house 😞

Sky is 12 & scared of her own shadow. Usually she bounces out of the house after us if one of us is us going outside, but this last week or so she stands way back away from the hallway because she knows there are fireworks going off outside.

With my grey roots, hearing aids & expanding waistline I’ll take the attention 😂
October 15, 2025 at 5:52 PM
Yes, for the last few weeks now 😫

Sounds like bombs being dropped from 4pm onwards most nights. The dog is terrified of them & wont go for a walk after work. She’ll be like this until Christmas now 😞

Barry is 79 & a regular in our bar at Tranmere. He’s waiting for my divorce to come through so he can take me off for a new life in Dubai with him.

If I hadn’t been at the football I’d love to have gone to this 🙂 I think my dad has done it before (or it might have been my uncles) and the view across the estate was pretty special to them 🥰 x

He’s lucky to be alive! He (or one of his mates) ran in front of my car half way up PRE on the way home so I had to slam on. Looks like he was in a bit of a scrap with a cat - he went one way & the cat went the other
