and they were witness of the garlean cruelty. Athilda attracted a lot of troubles by trying to protect her sister and their people. When she was 10yo, she began to learn how to fight with her father, because she hated feeling helpless while Garleans were martyrising Nhalmasqs.

Her sister, Astride, was the heir of the throne. Athilda was relieved to be the second-born (she never thought that she would be a good queen), but she was often despised by the aristocracy because she wasn't the heir, and so not too interesting as Astride was. They were very close instead of this,
