At least she is safe and not alone. She is loved and being held in a comfortable bed. There is some peace in knowing she is well.

Our last connection to the world is now two hundred miles away.

Moreso than we have been in quite a long time.

Maybe I will be tired enough to sleep this time. I suspect I am feeling socially worn out and not actually tired. We will see.

I did not in fact get to go to sleep. A lesson learned.
