R.I.P. neo soul great Angie Stone. A former member of hip-hop trio the Sequence and R&B trio Vertical Hold, Stone went solo in the late '90s, collaborating with D'Angelo and Lenny Kravitz and releasing ten solo LPs. She died in a car crash today following a show in Montgomery, AL. Stone was 63.

R&B and soul singer Angie Stone has died. The “Wish I Didn’t Miss You” singer was in a car accident while traveling from Alabama this morning, according to TMZ. She was 63.

I do not get the sense that anyone at the DNC meeting or thinking about running in 2028 believes that they will be operating in an abnormal political environment.
They seem to think it’ll just be like 2024 and they can be normal pols and not dissidents struggling against an autocratic regime.
