Yeah, we're in agreement. I'd also take it one step farther, as you pointed out here, and ask why can't we tax the churches themselves? I know it's not feasible in this environment, but the constitution says nothing about not taxing religious institutions.

Mega churches are evil for whole other reasons. They don't pay ANY taxes, but feed off the most desperate and vulnerable. Mega pastors are just rich people that found a tax dodge.
