Even though he's always been chasing after someone, he's quite selfish by nature. Therefore, it's been decided from the start that Haruichi can never be the same as Ryou.

In the words of Ryou himself, "You are on a different path than me."

He has demanded a lot out of many people in his life www. Take, for instance, the moment when he took initiative and asked to call Kuramochi "You-san." Or when he asked Ryou for his baseball gloves. Even his act of cutting his own hair proves that he's decided a lot of things for himself alone.

By contrast, I imagine Haruichi was more stubborn. While Ryou did get into fights, he only retaliated for his brother; in the household, Haruichi was the more "assertive" one. From resolutely deciding on a wooden bat, to resolving himself to follow his brother, he's always been a proactive child.

--It's not exactly a compliment, but it sounds more like... envy. Because, in the end, his first *and* last selfish wish was going to Seidou. He has always been selfless.

Ryou was definitely the more "easy" child out of the two. Due to his self-imposed duties as an older brother ("the elder cannot be selfish" etc.), he probably didn't demand much of anyone at home. There are multiple versions of Haruichi in my head. The kind Haruichi, the lonely Haruichi, the cold Haruichi… They all bear different hues, but in the end, they’re just Haruichi. This Haruichi is one of them… Treat him kindly and only be mean to him just a bit…..!
