The neutral draft environmental impact report estimates only roughly 1k daily riders in this station, compared to over 10k in the other ones. The monorail costs significantly more per rider, is slower by up to 20 minutes, end-to-end, has smaller trains, and uses unproven tech. NO ON ALTS 1 and 3

On the plus side, the current alts allow for a protest sign like I saw at the Westwood community meeting:

It was an interstste-shaped sign with two sides. One was "Save LA from the 405” and the flip side was "Choose Alts 4 or 5”

I called Durazo's office to try and get her to vote yes. The staffer on the other side specifically thanked me for calling and I was hopeful that she might vote yes, but alas

Each crossing will be signal preempted and the train usually will not have to slow down. Not as good as full grade separation, but better than what we're dealing with on sections of the A, E, and K lines
