Maple Pecan Pies
Beat 25g soft butter with 175g soft light brown sugar. Beat in 3 large eggs 1teasp vanilla and 200ml maple syrup. Taking care not to overfill, pour mixture over a 9 inch prebaked pie shell set on a baking sheet filled with 150g pecans and bake at 180°c for 30 - 35 minutes.

Prepping for Thanksgiving and tweaking a pecan pie recipe - this one's a maple pecan and I don't know if my granny would approve but it is gloriously smoky-sweet rather than just teethachingly so!

Just packing up three copies of Alabama Chrome to send out to the winners of the recent giveaway celebrating 3 years since publication and it being shortlisted for the 2023 Rubery Book Awards. Biggest swoon moment was this gorgeous endorsement from singer songwriter and novelist Jim White ❤️

Possibly the last of the year as it crept very close to freezing last night - what a song!

Second day of recording the audio for my novel All the Places that Were Hurt. I have no idea yet whether the final cut will be fit for release but that will be on me as my beloved had a previous life as a producer/recording engineer so technically, it's brilliant! Wish me luck!

Making a chocolate and vanilla marble cake for a very special young friend. I've known and loved her since her birth 16 years ago and this is her special request. 🎂❤️

Can't cope with how unutterably adorable the tiny spooks coming to our door are tonight.

Tonight it's roast tomato and squash soup after a beautiful moonlit walk along the river. Happy days 🥰
